The inspiration behind our Social Enterprise
Spectrum Designs is a company committed to enhance the quality of life for people with autism who have barriers to employment. We are grounded in our philosophy that working and being contributing members to society is inherently dignified and fulfilling. Spectrum offers a safe, secure, supportive, but non-enabling environment to foster maximum independence and personal growth within our company. We additionally advocate and create an awareness to the capabilities of our special needs employees, fostering relationships and opportunities with other mainstream businesses.
Our employees with autism work along side our Production Team, who are a compassionate group of individuals who find working in such a integrated setting, rewarding and meaningful.
For individuals with the greatest barriers to the traditional workforce, we are committed to offering transferable work skills for the individuals who have the opportunity to work within our Social Enterprise. Spectrum achieves this by offering an accommodating person-centered work environment to assist them in achieving their maximum potential in our operating business.
The profits generated from our not for profit company, allows for the shaping and marketing of our existing business as well as the exploration of new endeavours, that are not only consistent with our mission, but also increases self-sufficiency and reduces dependence on traditional source of funding.
Our approach to offering individuals with employment based support needs, particularly to those with autism, is a relatively new and innovative concept. Hence, we are welcoming to any and all insightful and constructive feedback as to how we can improve this experience for the people we serve. We look forward to hearing from you.
The genuine experience and collective history of our Co-Founders is the underlying reason behind the exceptional level of quality in our programs.
Mother to 3 children, including a teenage son with autism, she brings over 14 years of development experience for innovative programs that service the autism community. Holds her coursework in Behavior Analysis and advanced certificate in Autism through Penn State University.
